Give the gap your full attention.

The Discmania C-Line MD1 is a neutral midrange for the shots where you want glide and placement without planning around a strong fading finish. Its 5 / 6 / 0 / 0 flight makes it a useful option for straight approaches, short drives, and working different release angles through the woods.

When the fairway offers one clean lane, a smooth midrange throw can be more useful than trying to squeeze a driver into the picture. Reach for the MD1, pick your starting angle, and let a controlled release do the work.

Neutral flight, plenty of room to shape

The MD1 responds to the angle you give it. Use a clean, flat release for straight placement, a gentle hyzer for an arcing route, or an anhyzer when the fairway bends away from your normal fade direction. Its glide helps it carry on approaches that might otherwise tempt you to disc up.

That neutral character also makes it a useful practice partner. Developing players can explore how release angle affects flight, while experienced players can slot it beside an overstable midrange for shots that call for less finish. It is approachable across skill levels, but clean technique still matters: a zero-fade rating does not mean every throw will fly perfectly straight or recover from a turning release.

C-Line: built for repeat rounds

C-Line pairs a translucent look and good grip with excellent durability. The plastic wears slowly, helping the disc retain its original flight characteristics over time, especially useful when your favorite lines involve plenty of trees.

It is a good fit if you want a premium midrange that takes time to season. The durable plastic does not make the MD1 an overstable utility disc; its main job remains neutral carry and angle shaping.

Where it earns a spot

  • Straight approaches: Placement shots where a hard fading finish would complicate the landing.
  • Wooded fairways: Controlled midrange lines through a defined opening.
  • Short tee shots: Glide and placement when driver speed is unnecessary.
  • Hyzer and anhyzer routes: Shape the flight with your release instead of relying on a strong finish.

The MD1 name dates to Discmania’s first mold in 2006. This reinvented Originals version continues that story as a straight-flying, all-around midrange, rather than a specialist reserved for one shot.
