The Innova Star TeeBird is a control-oriented fairway driver with 7 / 5 / 0 / 2 flight ratings. It pairs glide with a defined finishing fade, giving you an option for placement-focused drives without stepping up to a faster distance driver.
Plan the landing, not just the distance
When a fairway leaves room to carry forward and fade into a landing area, the TeeBird offers a flight shape worth learning. Practice a smooth release and get familiar with its finish, then use that knowledge to choose a line that sets up your next shot.
- Speed 7: A fairway-driver option between slower discs and faster drivers.
- Glide 5: Carry for controlled drives.
- Turn 0: A neutral high-speed turn rating rather than pronounced understable turn.
- Fade 2: A distinct finishing tendency to factor into your landing line.
Why choose Star?
Star combines grip with durability comparable to Champion and a slightly less firm feel. Consider it if you want that balance rather than the more flexible feel of GStar. Plastic preference is personal; the name alone does not guarantee a specific stability difference between individual TeeBirds.
Where it fits in your bag
Pair it with an understable fairway driver when you want contrasting flight shapes. Players developing driver speed should allow for the fade rather than expect a perfectly straight flight. For long turnovers or roller-focused shots, a more understable mold may be a better fit.
This is the speed-7 TeeBird, not the speed-8 TeeBird3. Compare the mold as well as the plastic when choosing your control driver.
