The Legacy Patriot in Icon plastic is an understable fairway driver for gliding lines with a gentle finish. Its 7 / 5 / -2 / 1 flight numbers offer turn without the pronounced finishing fade of an overstable driver, giving you a fairway-speed option for shaping longer lines.
Work with turn, not a hard hook
When the fairway asks for a line that drifts before settling forward, the Patriot's negative turn and low fade give you a flight profile to explore. Players with enough power can experiment with a hyzer release for a flip-up flight, or a flatter release for a turning line. Your release angle, power, and conditions will determine how much turn you see.
Where the Patriot fits
- Understable fairway lines: Turn of -2 for shots where lateral movement is part of the plan.
- Hyzer-flip practice: A flight profile suited to experimenting with flip-up lines at the right power.
- Forward carry: Glide of 5 for distance-oriented fairway throws.
- Mild finishes: Fade of 1 when you don't want a strong late-flight hook.
