Some fairways call for a little imagination. A gap to hit, room to drift, and a finish that brings the whole shot together. That is where the Discraft X BC Cigarra Z comes out to play.
This speed-7 fairway driver brings plenty of glide, a touch of turn, and a defined fade to your shot-shaping lineup. It is not just about getting farther down the fairway. It is about giving your line time to unfold.
Let the fairway be your canvas
Reach for the Cigarra on controlled drives and sweeping lines where you have room to work both sides of the flight. With enough throwing speed, the gentle turn can open up the shot before the fade takes over. That makes it an appealing option when you want movement and carry rather than a disc that simply flies straight and sits down.
Its glide rating of 6 helps explain the appeal: there is carry to work with in a fairway-speed package. When your midrange feels a little short and your faster driver feels like overkill, this is a slot worth exploring.
Z plastic: ready for the regular rotation
Discraft Z pairs a firm feel with high durability. For a driver you plan to pull out round after round, that durable construction is a practical reason to choose this version. If you prefer a firm disc over a soft, flexible feel, Z is worth getting in your hand.
The Discraft X BC identity gives this Cigarra its own place in the lineup, while the Z blend keeps the focus on a disc built for regular use.
Why make room in your bag?
Because not every drive needs maximum speed or a ruler-straight flight. The Cigarra fills a controlled fairway role with glide, workable turn, and enough finishing fade to shape a deliberate landing line. Players who can bring out that turn will have more flight to play with; lower-power throws may show more of the finish. Release angle and wind matter too, so give it a little field time and find your favorite line.
