The Discraft ESP Zeus is a high-speed distance driver for experienced players who want mild turn at speed followed by a strong finishing fade. Its 12 / 5 / -1 / 3 flight ratings make it an option for powerful backhand and forehand drives with room to work.
ESP feel, distance-driver demands
Discraft describes the ESP Zeus as fast and shallow with a soft, grippy plastic feel. Choose it when that combination suits your grip and you already control fast drivers. This is the ESP version, not Big Z or Z Lite; plastic and run differences do not guarantee an identical flight from disc to disc.
Plan for the finish
On an open tee shot, pick a landing area that leaves room for the Zeus's finishing fade. Work with a smooth, committed release and learn how much turn your throwing speed produces before adding more angle or power. A faster disc does not automatically create extra distance.
- Speed 12: A demanding distance-driver category for players with developed power and release control.
- Glide 5: Carry to support full-power drives.
- Turn -1: Mild rated high-speed turn, not a strongly understable flight profile.
- Fade 3: A pronounced finish to account for when choosing your line.
Is the Zeus right for you?
Consider it when you can already place your fairway drivers consistently and want to explore a faster, strongly finishing option. If your drivers fade early or release control is still developing, a slower disc may be easier to throw effectively.
