A power driver with a world-champion story
The Innova Eveliina Salonen Tour Series Star Destroyer pairs swirled Star plastic with a stamp honoring her 2024 PDGA Pro World Championship. This speed-12 distance driver combines significant glide with a strong finishing fade, making it an option for powerful backhand throws and confident sidearm drives.
Why choose this edition?
- Swirled Star plastic: Distinctive color variations give each disc its own look, alongside Star's grippy feel and excellent durability.
- Championship tribute: The stamp celebrates Eveliina Salonen's 2024 world title.
- Touring support: A portion of each sale supports Eveliina Salonen's touring efforts.
- Established Destroyer flight: The 12 / 5 / -1 / 3 ratings pair a touch of high-speed turn with a pronounced fade.
Who should throw it?
The Destroyer is best considered by players who already throw high-speed drivers effectively and want a power-focused distance option. Its -1 turn rating does not make it an easy-turning driver: without sufficient speed, it will generally finish earlier and more overstable than the numbers might suggest.
On an open drive with room to carry and fade, work up from a smooth release rather than forcing maximum effort. For a right-hand backhand throw, the finishing fade moves left as the disc slows; reverse that direction for a left-hand backhand. Sidearm throwers can put the mold to work too, but clean technique still matters.
If slower fairway drivers currently fly farther for you, keep using them for distance and consider the Destroyer when your power develops. Choose this edition for its swirled Star feel, championship artwork, and player support, not a guaranteed distance gain or flight difference from every other Star Destroyer.
