High glide. Pronounced turn. A different route down the fairway.
The Innova Star Mamba is an understable distance driver with 11 / 6 / -5 / 1 flight ratings. It gives players an alternative to hard-fading drivers, pairing substantial high-speed turn with plenty of glide and a light finishing fade.
Is the Mamba right for your bag?
- You want a more workable distance flight: Lower-power players can explore the Mamba's turning tendency rather than fighting an overstable driver. Speed 11 still needs sufficient throwing speed; a slower disc may be a better fit.
- You are shaping longer lines: Players with moderate power can work on turnovers and hyzer flips by adjusting release angle and speed.
- You want a roller option: Stronger throwers can explore big turning flights and rollers rather than expecting a straight, power-resistant drive.
Why choose Star plastic?
Star combines a grippy feel with premium durability and is slightly less firm than Champion. Choose it when you want a long-lasting disc with more give than Champion, but less flexibility than GStar. It is a practical everyday blend for repeated rounds on wooded or rugged courses.
When an open fairway calls for a turning line, start with a smooth release and give the Mamba space to respond. For a right-handed backhand throw, its high-speed turn works to the right. Avoid choosing it when headwind resistance is the priority; its pronounced turn can become harder to manage.
