Keep your distance game going after daylight clocks out.
The Axiom Eclipse Defy brings straight power flights and a forward-pushing fade to your glow bag. This 11 / 5 / -1 / 3 stable-to-overstable distance driver is built for players who want resistance to turnover without giving up the ability to push down the fairway.
Its defining trait is holding a powered line. Axiom describes the Defy as a more stable MVP Photon or a longer Axiom Clash, with enough finishing bite to fill a dependable distance slot rather than an easy-turnover role.
Eclipse: glow in the core, durability for the course
Eclipse is Axiom's premium glow material, pairing a glow core with a vibrant opaque GYRO rim. Designed for visibility day or night, it also offers high durability for repeated rounds.
That gives this Defy a useful role beyond evening golf: a distance driver you can learn in daylight and bring back out for glow rounds. Choose your preferred numbered rim-color and weight option from the selection.
What to expect from the flight
Higher-power throwers can access the Defy's long, line-locking flight and turnover resistance. With less power, expect a more overstable result and an earlier finish. Its forward-pushing fade is part of the appeal, but the shape of your throw still depends on release angle, speed, wind, weight, and wear.
- Long, straight power shots: A stability-focused option for players who can get an 11-speed driver working.
- Finishing hyzers: Give the disc room to carry forward and work into its fade.
- Headwind duties: Axiom highlights its resistance to turnover and headwinds, making it a useful mold to learn in your local conditions.
- Glow-round distance: Add a strong-finishing driver to a bag that already covers shorter night-golf shots.
When the group heads back out after sunset, this is the kind of disc you want to know before the first tee. Practice its landing line during the day, then bring that familiar release into your glow round. Less guessing, more committing to the shot.
Who should choose the Eclipse Defy?
Players looking for a stable-to-overstable distance driver with premium glow capability are the natural fit. Power throwers can explore its straighter distance flight; moderate-power players may prefer it as a longer overstable option. If you need effortless turnovers or a gentle, minimal-fade finish, choose a less stable tool.
