High-speed drives with a pronounced fade
The Innova Star Ape is an overstable distance driver with flight ratings of 13 / 5 / 0 / 4. Zero rated turn and a strong finishing fade make it an option for players whose throwing speed suits a high-speed driver and whose shot calls for a pronounced finish.
On an open tee shot, pick a landing area with plenty of room for the Ape to fade. Use field practice to learn how its finish responds to your power and release angle before bringing it into a demanding line. Lower-speed throws may fade early instead of producing a full distance flight; a higher speed rating does not guarantee extra distance.
