When your drive calls for a strong finish
The Innova Champion Ape is an overstable distance driver for players who want a high-speed disc with a pronounced fading finish. With a speed rating of 13 and zero rated turn, it makes more sense as a deliberate shot-shaping choice than a shortcut to extra distance.
Step onto an open tee with room to work, choose where you want the disc to finish, and build your line around that fade. If you already throw high-speed drivers comfortably and want an overstable option in your bag, the Ape is worth considering. If you're still developing throwing speed, a slower driver may be a better match.
